Reconnecting Over Facebook DMs (Frame Control Starts Anywhere)

This entire conversation with Rikki actually began from a random Facebook DM — nothing fancy, no setup, no long backstory.

It had been years since we’d last talked, but with the right energy and frame control, even an old social media connection can turn into a new romantic spark.

Most guys underestimate how powerful a confident message through Facebook DMs can be when you lead with calm, playful energy instead of chasing validation.

The Opening Move — Frame Starts from the First Message

Although it had been 5+ years since here and I last spoke, Rikki and I had met in person previously, but only in a group atmosphere and never with any ‘romantic’ feelings. So this conversation came totally out of thin air— straight through a Facebook DM. And turned into magic.

Out of the blue, I hit her with one simple text:

“Rikki Johnson.”

No emojis. No explanation. Just her full name.

She instantly mirrored back:

“Adam Jordan.”

That one exchange is a great way to start out messaging a woman in a similar situation. Not coming in with any high-pressure questions, just subtly starting the conversation and seeing how she responds before I make my next move.

Then I followed up with:

“Rikki Jordan…”

Now I’d created a mini inside-joke — a flirty mix of our names — without ever saying “Hey, what’s up?” or “How have you been?”

That’s frame control.

You make her enter your frame (your view of the situation, your perspective) instead of auditioning for hers.

Bait Lines and Frame Control

Once the playfulness was rolling, I threw out one of my favorite bait lines:

“But I’m kindaa mad at you, Rikki.”

She quickly replied, curious:

“Mad at ME?? No Way”

That’s the point of a bait line — it pulls her in.
You’re not chasing attention; you’re inviting curiosity.

I kept the fun going:

“Yes you. You’re in the doghouse.”

Now she’s laughing, engaging, and emotionally reacting — all from one small line.
Most men would’ve gone factual (“How’ve you been?”) and started the conversation in such a predictable and 'boring' way.

But when you tease from a place of calm confidence, you become the one leading the energy.

The Turning Point — When She Asked Me Out

After some playful back-and-forth about 'why she is in the doghouse', I sent the line that shows that 'I am the Prize' but in a fun and playful way:

“For not asking me out yet. You haven’t even wined or dined me.”

That’s where frame does the heavy lifting.
I implied that she owed me a date — not the other way around.
It was a 'role-reversal' basically stating that I expect women to ask me out, which is backwards from how most male-female dynamics go. And that is DIFFERENT. Different is fun and interesting to women.

And guess what happened?

She replied:

Now she’s chasing.
I never begged for a plan, never tried to “convince” her.
I just stayed relaxed, confident, and a little difficult — because the prize always is.

When She Called Me a Diva

Later in the conversation, after a few more teasing lines, Rikki laughed and said:

“You’re such a diva.”

And she was absolutely right.

That’s where the concept of Diva Texting was born.

Forget about 'Diva' being a word for women... look behind that and think about the ENERGY of what it would mean if you as a man are coming off as a 'Diva' to the women you are communicating with.

A 'diva' is a celebrated, confident, high-status person (glamorous and successful) who knows their value and expects to be treated like it.

When a woman calls you a diva in that context, she’s admitting that she feels your status.
You’re not desperate or trying to impress her — you’re acting like someone she has to earn.

Even in the 'bad context' of the word diva, it shows you are "demanding or difficult to work with"... what does that sound like? It sounds like you are a CHALLENGE... which is extremely attractive to women.

Diva can mean "someone who behaves as if they are very special or important." What do we KNOW women want in a man? Confidence. So again... having this 'Diva' energy means you are texting in a way that is confident, a challenge, and showing you value yourself. That draws a woman in like a moth to a flame.

Even when you breakdown the synonyms and closely related terms for 'Diva'... think about the ENERGY you are exuding if a woman thinks of you in this same category of "Queen, Princess, Goddess, Prima donna, Superstar".

That’s the essence of Diva Texting:

• Confident — you act like the prize, never the pursuer.
  

• Playfully Challenging — you flirt through challenging humor and control the tone.
  

• Selective — you decide who earns your time.
  

• High-value — your texts reflect that you have options.

The Principle — Confidence Over Compliance

Most guys think attraction is built by agreeing, complimenting, or escalating sexually.
But that’s compliance, not confidence.

Instead of reacting to her playful “best case, we make out a little,” and getting all SIMPY and eager... I flipped the frame again.
